Guruvara sācā prema tumhīṃ se pāyā,
mṛgatṛṣṇā to kabhī miṭeṃ nā
kaisī jaga kī māyā
O Guru, it is from Thee I have received true love.
The mirage never satisfies; so is the illusion of this world.
1- aṃtarmana merā pāvana kara do
bhakti bhāva se isako bhara do
kabhī nā bhūlū~ terā ciṃtana
sadā niraṃtara terā sumirana
mahimā gāū~, jaga bisarākara
nija caraṇoṃ meṃ āyā
guruvara sā~cā……
Purify Thee, my inner being
And fill it with devotion
May I never forget Thy contemplation
And at all times, Thy remembrance
May I sing Thy glory, forgetting the World
To Thy feet I have come
2- jaise dīpaka bina bātī ke
karatā nahīṃ ujālā,
merā jīvana tuma bina guruvara
bina phūloṃ kī mālā
nirmala kara do janama janama kī
mailī cādara lāyā
guruvara sā~cā…….
Just as a lamp without a wick
cannot give forth light
My life without Thee, O Guru
Is but a garland with no flowers
Make pure this sheet I bring,
soiled which is, through lifetimes sin
